Access in Iziago: Users and rights > Users administration > Users

Iziago provides you with a clear interface to administrate users. The Users page allows you to display and access all the users created in your account. From this page, you can:

  • Add new users
  • View users
  • Edit users
  • Delete users

Columns Definition
Last name User’s last name. The icon  designates administrators.
First name User’s first name.
Acronym Acronyms are used to easily identify users within the software when their names cannot be fully displayed.
Connection status Possible values are Disconnected, Currently connected, Locked.
Last connection Date and hour of the last time the user logged in.


ADD NEW USERS

Access in Iziago: Users and rights > Users administration > Users
 

To add a new user:

  1. Click the New button at the top of the screen
  2. In the Contact section, enter the personal details of the user
  3. In the Interface section, select:
    1. A language (used for formal communication between the user and their contacts)
    2. A time zone (in which to set  time and date)
    3. An interface profile (defining the display format of dates, hours and numbers)
  4. In the Authentication section, the software automatically creates the username, based on the first name and last name you entered in the Contact section
  5. Select a connection mode:
    1. If you select Password&Grid, the software will email the user an authentication card and a temporary password (that they will have to change at first connection)
  6. In the Administrator section, tick the Yes box to set the user as administrator. Otherwise, leave the No box ticked
  7. Click the Save button at the top of the screen

Once you have added a user, you need to set user rights (Edit users).


VIEW USERS

Access in Iziago: Users and rights > User administration > Users
 

If you have the Display right, clicking a user in the table displays its details:

  • Last connection date and time
  • Account status (connected, disconnected or locked)
  • Personal information
  • Interface settings (language, time zone, profile)
  • Authentication settings
  • Rights
     

If the user you are looking for is not displayed in the table, please run a search through the bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen.


EDIT USERS

Access in Iziago: Users and rights > User administration > Users
 

If you have the Create, modify & delete right, clicking a user in the table allows you to:

  • Lock or unlock the user
  • Change the user's name, acronym, phone and e-mail
  • Change the user's interface data (language, time zone and interface profile)
  • Manage the user's authentication means:
    • Reset password
    • Renew authentication card
  • Set the user as administrator
  • Set the user's rights
     

To navigate from one user to another, use the User drop-down list at the top of the screen:


 

Change a user’s personal information

In the Contact section, you can change the user’s personal information (red fields are mandatory):

  • Title
  • First name and last name
  • Acronym
  • Phone number
  • E-mail
     

Change a user’s interface data

In the Interface section, you can change the user’s interface data:

  • Language
  • Time zone
  • Interface profile
     

Manage a user’s authentication means

In the Authentication section, you can:

  • Change the user’s connection mode
    • If you select Password&Grid, the software will email the user an authentication card and a temporary password (that they will have to change at first connection)
  • Reset the user’s password (see Authentication and interface)
  • Renew the user’s authentication card (see Authentication and interface)
     

Set a user as administrator

Administrators are super users of your Iziago's account. They can edit standard users’ attributes and rights.

In the Administrator section, tick the Yes box to set the user as administrator.
 

Why can’t I tick the No box? Make sure that there is another administrator configured. There should always be at least one administrator set in your account.

Why can’t I tick the Yes box? Only administrators can enable this option for another user.
 

Set user rights

Setting user rights is important in terms of security and internal organisation. These rights authorise users to perform specific actions within Iziago's different modules. The Rights section consists of a table, allowing you to set user rights by feature and by module. Rights are divided into two categories:

  • Display: when ticked, allows the user to access the corresponding feature and to display its objects
  • Create, Modify & Delete: when ticked, allows the user to edit the objects of the corresponding feature

By default, the Display right is activated for any new users on every Iziago's features.


The example below shows the parameters of the Settings module:

  • Companies: the user is able to display and edit companies
  • Accounts: the user is not able to access accounts
  • Banks: the user is able to display banks but is not able to edit them

Do not forget to click the Save button to save any changes.


LOCK AND UNLOCK USERS

Access in Iziago: Users and rights > User administration > Users
 

To lock a user:

  1. In the table, click the user to lock
  2. In the Management section, click the Lock button
  3. In the pop-in window, enter a commentary explaining why you are locking the user
  4. Click the Lock button

A locked user cannot access the software.


 

To unlock a locked user:

  1. In the table, click the user to unlock
  2. In the Management section, click the Unlock button
  3. In the pop-in window, enter a commentary explaining why you are unlocking the user
  4. Click the Unlock button

Users will automatically be locked if too many failed attempts are made trying to connect to the software.
